Between 1920 and 1930 it was owned by the benefactor, mayor and podestà of Brindisi, Serafino Giannielli, who, among many others, hosted in this marvelous building King Vittorio Emanuele II of Savoy and the Nobel Prize winner for physics, Guglielmo Marconi.
