Colonnetta di Prodo is a small fraction of the municipality of Orvieto, which has about 270 inhabitants.

Nearby there is an ancient red limestone quarry, called Prodo marble, used for some of the mosaics on the facade of the majestic Roman-Gothic cathedral of Orvieto, reachable in just a few minutes.
