Pioppino is a small hamlet part of the municipality of Redondesco, in the province of Mantua, in the region of Lombardy. We propose, in a land devoted to agriculture, an entire courtyard with adjoining land of approximately 5,000 sqm. The rustico, which was inhabited until a few years ago, is in need of renovation and consists of a main house on two floors for about 100sqm per floor and some annexes for services. To the side there is a large barchessa, once a shelter for agricultural equipment, and some other buildings used as a woodshed and has two wells for water. Redondesco is a small (1200 inhabitants) and quiet municipality in the Province of Mantua, from which it is about 25 km away. Rich in history, it has as its centre the Medieval Castle built in 1163 by concession of Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa. The Castle Fortress was then the residence of the Counts of Redondesco until 1240. Later, in 1404, the Deputies of the village offered Francesco Gonzaga the government of the community and the command of the Fortress. This brought privileges and exemptions, which made the population rich.
During the summer, country and themed festivals such as Medieval settings are organised, important orchestras, including foreign ones, are invited to perform, and Carnival floats parade through the streets. The Sunday morning market brings with all its display areas excellent products in the food field from gastronomy, meat, fruit and vegetables, all typical local products.
